Note - I did not buy this on Amazon but from a reputed local store (that never gives any discounts). By mistake I reviewed a different Anjali coconut scraper, but overall I guess it has the same problems. This is the one that costs over 300 rupees but is still of not much better quality. After paying 300Rs plus, this is bad value and while Anjali has made a reputation of some sort, it does not deserve to be ranked among the quality brands. After roughly a year of occasional use the vacuum handle broke (plastic) - after attaching it with some glue and some "jugaad", it worked fine till the rubber lifting attachment inside (the piece with a round slot) broke - its made of thin steel - it was rusted and of poor quality and it broke at the narrow point. No matter what you do, this is built so that it falls apart very soon. There is no stainless steel in the working parts - most of the parts have rust (the chrome plating has flaked off). This is in Bangalore where the temperature and humidity are not so bad. I can't imagine how many days this will last in Chennai. Typical poor quality - use and throw. Worth less than Rs 100 in real terms and "Stainless Steel" used in the description is fraud. Please improve the design and provide a proper warranty for at least 5 years, this is not rocket science.
