Solid heavy wood . Design is just as shown . The top nob on lid was attached in the underside when I received it . Which I removed and attached on the top with a screwdriver , maybe that was for transport safety , so that it doesn't break. Overall happy with it . It will leave a bit of color in start , so wash it properly and use a cloth for a few days as a lining . Good quality , intricate design as shown and heavy wood . Inside also it's wood , don't expect metal .
