The hollows have some raised lines, instead of being plain like in the other brands. Also it requires more oil almost filling half the circles.I wd have liked to return or exchange it for another brand but I had exceeded the time limit . Now I'm stuck with it and making the best of a bad deal

The Sumeet Aluminium Appam Patra With Lid, 12 Piece is good looking but the weight of the pan is not nery heavy. Hence you cannot put the PAN on Gas empty for purpose of getting heated and then putting the batter of Appam. There was an advisory from manufacturer that empty Appam Patra should not be put on gas for heating, otherwise the Patra will get damaged.The Appam Patra can be used only on gas, not on Induction.
