Product Description- Kama Ayurveda 100 percent Organic Henna is made with Organic Henna leaves from Rajasthan . It is Certified Organic by Ecocert India Pvt Ltd. Henna has been used since the Bronze Age to coloue skin hair and fingernails . Henna;s colouring properties are due to Lawson a burgundy organic compound that has an affinity for bonding with protein . The colour that results from dying with henna can fall into a broad spectrum from auburn to orange burgundy chestnut brown . HENNA FOR HAIR: Henna is an excellent herbal conditioner and colorant. It nourishes the hair making it shiny soft and silky. Henna repairs and seals the cuticle thus helps in healing hair shaft preventing hair breakage. Henna balances the pH of the scalp thus preventing premature hair fall graying and dandruff. It also reverses the effects of pollution on hair as well as dryness due to excessive blow drying dyeing etc. Henna also has anti-fungal and preservative properties. HAIR CONDITIONONG: Mix henna with curd or water to make a paste and apply it all over the head wearing hand gloves. Rinse the mixture off your hair after an hour or so . You might have to wash your hair a couple of times before you get rid of all the henna from your hair . Oil hair post wash for better gloss and shine . HAIR DYING:To colour your hair dark mix the henna powder lemon juice coffee and water in an iron skillet to make a paste and let it stay overnight. However if you wish to colour vibrant reddish brown do not use skillet or any iron utensil . Apply it all over the head wearing hand gloves . Rinse the mixture off your hair after an hour or so. Needed to wait for atleast 2 applns b4 putting in a review. Ive used the kama henna and indigo in the exact same process mentioned on the product packing.Henna : Did not colour all greys. The one's at the temple area got a very very pale orange colour. I was sure that the colour wudnt stay even for a day. This was inspite having made the henna paste overnight, having added coffee and tea in the paste and keeping the paste applied for almost 3 hrs.Indigo: Inspite of the claim that it is organic, this gave me an itchy scalp the next day. It sure coloured most of the orange hair black. And had to re apply a lil on the temple again the 3rd day.The entire process is tedious as hell. But all these could have been ignored for the organic benefits it claims. Just that, ALL THE COLOUR WORE OFF IN JZ 4 DAYS. WAT A WASTE OF PRECIOUS TIME AND EFFORT.Will try buying and using this product once more. And will put in a 2nd review.
